TEMPLE GRANDIN
Hello all,
As many of you probably already know, HBO has recently com out with a movie about the life of Temple Grandin. I have yet to see the movie but have heard nothing but good things. However, I have seen this interview with Grandin several times and find it truly inspirational. She speaks with Patty Satalia from Conversation with Penn State on the influence autism has had on her life and specifically her work in animal science. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Thanks for posting that interview. My daughter cannot explain these things like the sensitivity issues, which she has alot of, for herself. Its nice to hear it from someone who can and who has been there.....Fred

The You Tube here is gone.. but I saw the movie 3 x this weekend and I can say that it should give people with autism hope to know like the line in the movie says: " different but not less ". I know it is difficult to be a parent of an autistic child regardless of where you fall on the spectrum....
but God has given your child special gifts that you will have to recognize and nurture . Just like Temple's mother did "Undauntingly " In the end Temple was able to use her gifts in her own unique way. She saw what no one else could and made it work .
What a powerful message this movie has given to all of us .
This is my first blog too !!! Glad I could share it with you.
