Fellow Team Members and Mentors,
Help, I’m Overwhelmed……
As Bette Midler once said, “People are not the best because they work hard, they work hard because they are the best.” And you are the best! You are an appreciated volunteer and everyone here at Autism One, would like to thank you for your exceptional service. I don’t know how we would manage without you; as Hilary Clinton has emphasized, it truly takes a village to raise a child, and our baby is this amazing “Social Network” and we need a group effort, I could sure use your assistance.
There are only a handful of volunteers that have been consistently blogging, greeting new members and adding comments to new member’s posts. I am aware that time is a precious commodity, there sometimes isn’t enough time in a day, but I would like to ask for a little of your time each week or even once a month. Every little bit helps. Having helpful advice/suggestions and tips can make an enormous difference in another individual’s life.
Your support would be greatly appreciated. There are days that I am truly overwhelmed. We are looking forward to seeing you at the May Conference in Chicago, you can find me at the registration desk, drop by and say hello(: Thank you so very much. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at: r.brunett@autismone.org
Sincerely yours,
Rhonda Brunett, Autism One Chicago Liaison

Hi Steve,
I noticed that you've expressed interest in the connection between art and autism. I just started a group called Art for Autism, and would love your contributions to the conversations there.

Thanks,
Kristin

If you have anything other than a small roll-aboard suitcase, I would not recommend this route.

Autism should not keep the brightest artistic minds of our generation under lock and key.

On May 31 at 3:30pm CST, I collected the last of the AutismOne video recordings.

A Little About Me:

A little bit about me might be a little bit about everyone here. I had to cut and paste this to the top. We all have unique paths and unique stories but their is some much that is one voice. And if we are expecting change, then this is truly fortunate. I have a background in film in video production. Documentary interests me a great deal. I see the silver screen as huge canvas for affecting change. I ride my bike daily, literally. Especially since I just moved to LA, I feel a need to be outside as much as possible. For the last 7 years, I have been doing conference recording, providing primary source information directly to parents and professionals. This is my ongoing business and have been working with Autism One in this capacity for the last 5 years. I do not think there is ANY way that who am and why I am here can become disentwined. I think that who we are in our day to day lives is united by common causes. There are certain things that we eat, sleep, and breath that we cannot possibly describe to other people. I am a son. I am a brother. I have a sister. I am affected with autism, not in the literal sense but in the way it has touched my life. If my sister did not have autism, I would not be here, writing this, contributing to the Autism One Community.

Why I am a Part of the AutismOne Community:

In life, there are obstacles to caring for our family members in the most effective way possible. These obstacles include time, money, and geography. As part of the AutismOne Community my goals is to breakdown barriers to information and communication. Parents need direct access to information and support.

What I am Here For:
I am here to provide the most up to date, relevant content regarding the care and treatment of individuals living with Autism.
Autism Help / Accomplishments:

Last year me and Teri Arranga went to Washington to document the Green Our Vaccines Rally in Washington. Teri conducts extraordinary interviews and really does her homework. When we walked, all we could see was a field of green. It was truly a spectacular sight.

You can check it out here: http://new.autismone.org/content/green-our-vaccines-rally-jenny-mccarthy...

My Daily Motivations:

I feel like my sister Emily is a driving force in my life. With so much adversity in her life, she is so incredibly happy and full of life.

Goals:
Goals? Are we saying this is the same as dreams and aspirations? Im going to say so. Have the ability (but not the desire) to retire at 32. There are so many useful projects to be a part of in the world. Imagine having so much of your life to make uncompromising Visit all 50 states Ride my bike across America Meet Steve Jobs Produce a feature documentary on the moral nature of credit cards
What Mentoring Do I Offer:
Growing up with a sister coping with so much, I think I have a tremendous perspective as a sibling. My sister who has many special features has been with me since I was 10.
How Our Company Is Involved With Autism:

For over 7 years, my company ZenWorks Productions has been doing conference recording to provide primary source information to parents and professionals.

Quotes:
The defining factor is resourcefulness not resources. -Tony Robins
