Hello Everyone! It’s great to be part of this community.

I am the father of two boys on the spectrum, Michael (8) and Jack (6). My boys are a great blessing for my wife and I and teach us everyday how to look at the world from a different perspective.

Like many families with special kiddo’s, we find ourselves gravitating towards other families who have similar experiences with their kids. It’s nice to not have to continually explain the unexpected behavior exhibited by our children. A simple roll-of-the-eyes, a laugh, or look of pride connects us all with similar home-life experiences.

One common theme we see in our children, and others that are impacted by spectrum disorders, is social delays. I would love to hear what you are doing to help with these types of deficits. Hours of interaction have made our children make significant gains but new ideas are always well received. Let us all know what you are doing and the success you see, daily!
