About Me
My son has been dragging me around, teaching me about Autism, and getting me involved in a much higher cause than I was planning on in my previous life before Autism. It is a fascinating condition and I am touched everyday by Malcom's beauty and innocence and the other children with the same condition I see at the Center we belong to.
I grew up in Michigan but have lived in Florida, California and Hawaii, always near the water, until now.
We moved to Indiana specifically because of their Autism Insurance mandate and it has been the best thing I could have done for Malcom. He is doing fabulous at the Verbal Behavior Center for Autism and I feel very pleased about our move here. Thanks for the great conference, I hope to make it next year as well.
Autism One is an amazing community and the conference was so impressive. I was there but had trouble attending, with my son being ill and needing my attention that weekend.
I am just getting started, reading all the information and listening to AutismOne.
Its all very informative helpful and fascinating information!
Thanks Laura for being a good community leader for us!
My motivations come from Malcom... I probably wouldn't feel very motivated if he wasn't so sweet and loving and trying so hard to be a good boy! My family is long distance support, but always there if I need them. They send me heart-felt support through the phone and emails! I work as a therapist, and sometimes the sessions are my therapy as well. A time to calm the spirit and empty the mind!
a MASSAGE or encouragement to deep breath and keep working on a spiritual life to keep the flow of good energy going.
Hi Heidi
Let me extend to you my personal welcome to our AutismOne Social Network. AutismOne is now the “one-stop-shopping center” for information about autism. We have the annual conference in Chicago, AutismOne radio, the Elizabeth Birt Center for Autism Law and Advocacy and now the AutismOne Social Network (and more to come).
Thank you for filling in your profile entries as these help people with common interests find you.
I certainly enjoyed reading it. I'm always so very impressed with the strength and determination of parents such as you in their resolve to make life better for their autistic children.
Helping you interact with others is one of the many things we can do for you. Now here’s something you can do for us. Every new community requires a good hard kick start to get going. We need you to help us with that. Log in on a regular basis and read the blogs and articles then write a blog yourself. It can be on any subject of interest to you, preferably with some relevance to autism but not necessarily. It can be short or long, whatever it takes for you to express your thoughts. If you have a question then ask it in a blog--people read then they respond. If you see something with which you agree or disagree then please add a comment with your thoughts. This is an open community designed to help and support. We like to hear all sides.
I am looking forward to reading your opinions in future blogs and/or articles.
With my best regards
Will Price, CFO
