A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell, where his influence stops By Henry B. Adams
My son will be graduating this year and going on to college.
My wish is that we can offer you hope, this letter I sent to every teacher Jordan has ever had!
A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell, where his influence stops
By Henry B. Adams
For Jordan, this statement is so very true.
He has had wonderful teachers throughout the years, and we are very fortunate to have had the right people teaching him, at the right times. These individuals have given of their personal time, have showed patience, and most importantly have communicated, cooperated, and supported Jordan with each hurtle that came his way, and worked through each one successfully.
So here is to all of the teachers, therapists, and administrators who have helped to change our son’s life. You should be proud; I know that Rick and I couldn’t be more proud of Jordan, and thankful to have each of you in his and our lives.
It’s hard to believe four years of high school, have passed so quickly, and his journey at GlenBard North is about to come to a close. He has come along way since he entered the doors of special education pre-school, where his communication and social skills had much to be desired. You would never know it now! Ask his pre-school teacher, Joann Murphy. She would be honest and tell you she could have never dreamed Jordan would have come this far….
I was just looking at his Facebook page on his birthday, and his peers placed posts that were genuine and kind. It pleases me to see he has evolved into such a fine young man, who has developed meaningful social skills. At his last IEP meeting, it was hard for me to hold back my emotion but some how I managed; I didn’t want to embarrass him. Jordan is a confident young man; goal oriented, and has a plan in place for his future. What more can a parent ask for?
So, I will bring the beginning statement back to light once again. Thank you everyone for giving your all.
Every individual has played a special role in Jordan’s life: and one by one you helped transform a young man. Teachers that crossed Jordan’s path remember and reflect back to this statement because it’s truth,
You have changed a young mans life for eternity, and never EVER forget nothing is impossible.” Bravo.
A heartfelt thank you Rick and Rhonda Brunett
