Drawing on her experience as both a parent of a son with autism, as well as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Mary Lynch Barbera will provide listeners with information to help children with autism learn language and other important skills. Mary will highlight strategies from her book: The Verbal Behavior Approach: How to Teach Children with Autism and Related Disorders, and provide guidance using the scientifically proven strategies of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) specifically utilizing B.F. Skinner’s Analysis of Verbal Behavior.

This program will be about biomedical treatment aspects for children and adults on the spectrum. Dr. DeMio will not only talk about new and current therapies for treatment, but will also revisit older therapies.

Brunett: Rhonda Brunett : Unlocking the Door to Autism

Unlocking the Door to Autism is a down to earth program that will cover many facets of Autism. Because understanding can help to diminish fears and frustrations and give solace and hope, the program will feature frank discussions with educators, health care professionals and parents of Autistic children. Topics will offer insight and will expose some of the myths and mysteries that that often occur when there is no one to talk to or no one to relate to. The goal to Unlocking the Door to Autism is to open the doors to encouragement, support and education.
