Sensory Integration
This talk will focus on introducing the concepts of sensory integration/sensory processing disorder. It will highlight the main concepts that parents and caregivers hope to understand necessary to understand their child's unique sensory profiles. It will also provide parents and caregivers the opportunity to ask some questions specific to their child.
Megan Carrick, MOTR/L, MOTR/L
Megan received her Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois . She is the clinical director of Kids in Sync located in the Chicago Wicker Park neighborhood and the Chicago north shore suburb of Northfield. Megan is a DIR Graduate facilitator for the Interdisiplinary Council on Developmental and Learning Disorders (ICDL), and holds a Sensory Integration and Praxis Test certification (SIPT) from Western Psychological Services (WPS).
