Science in the Trump Administration: The Big Picture
My presentation is an overview of fundamentally important changes that the Trump Administration should undertake to address alarming increases in public health problems associated with an ongoing deterioration in environmental protection over the past several decades. At EPA, I oversaw research on climate change conducted by President Clinton’s Associate Director for the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy. I also worked with the Science Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives and key committees in the U.S. Senate to pass the No Fear Act to protect federal whistleblowers. During the last election, I served on Hillary Clinton’s Healthcare Leaders fundraising committee; and since then have been considered for a position in the Trump Administration.
