Ian's new backpack

Yesterday night I bought Ian a new backpack. This made me happy. I could visualize with joy the pleasure Ian would feel and the light in his eyes upon receiving his new backpack. He likes to receive new things, in general, and as an affirmation that he is positively regarded by others. I could envision with pleasure the kick Ian would get out of the pretty colors and all the pictures of Julius the Monkey as well as his pride at taking his new backpack to school on Monday.

Ian's old backpack from Grandma last Christmas was still serviceable, yet worn. Like so many other families, we need to juggle finances. I had been wanting to buy a new backpack for a while, but good ones are relatively expensive. Last night while picking up something else at the office supply store, I spotted a good one for $15 off with a resulting low price. It made me so happy to be able to "splurge" on this for Ian.

I love seeing the light in Ian's eyes. Although we still have a way to go, we will continue moving forward for him so that he can blossom. The lights are on, and somebody is definitely home.

How great! I love that look!

How great! I love that look! We are few & far between with Bryce, but when you get it, oh how sweet!

Cute

I love that kid........

We were just picking out some

We were just picking out some new clothes for Candace. I felt the same way. I was thinking this top would look cute on her with her red hair. For a second while I was shopping everything seem normal in my life!!

Sweet story...

Awww, you made me cry. The simple pleasures are the best.
