Dental Care for Children on the Autism Spectrum
The dental care of patients with ASD presents many challenges. Examination may be difficult; medical conditions, including immune issues, may impact on the selection of restorative materials; and the patient's diet may present a trade-off between nutrition, medical complications, and tooth decay. Orthodontic care which requires excellent oral hygiene and patient compliance presents additional challenges. Dr.Cantor and his colleagues will address these issues and answer audience questions.
