Lori has an eleven-year-old son with autism and is Co-founder and Chairperson of the National Autism Association (NAA). In 2009, Lori began advocating for federal laws that would eliminate abusive restraint and seclusion practices in public and private schools. Through NAA, she has launched multiple public service campaigns to advocate for federal regulations, teacher/aide training, parent education, and classroom monitoring.
